To human thinking it was simply impossible, but nothing is hard for God. Without a sound or sign, from sources invisible and apparently impossible, the floods came stealing in all night long; and when the morning dawned, those ditches were flooded with the crystal waters, and reflecting the rays of the morning sun from the red hills of Edom.
Our unbelief is always wanting some outward sign. The religion of many is largely sensational, and they are not satisfied of its genuineness without manifestations, etc.; but the greatest triumph of faith is to be still and know that He is God.
The great victory of faith is to stand before some impassable Red Sea, and hear the Master say,"Stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord," and "Go forward!" As we step out without any sign or sound--not a wave-splash--and wetting our very feet as we take the first step into its waters, still marching on we shall see the sea divide and the pathway open through the very midst of the waters.
Faith doesn't question, it obeys! Ditches were made, and the water came pouring in from some supernatural source!
Are you in need of a blessing?
Open the trenches, and God will fill them. And this, too,in the most unexpected
places and in the most unexpected ways. Act by faith and not by sight! And
expect God to work although you see no wind or rain!!

"Neither give place to the devil." Ephesians 4:27.
Just as when Jesus was baptized and a dove descended, then right after He was led into the wilderness and tempted. When God does something great, or when you get the approval of God about something, you can expect the attack of the enemy.
"When God opens the windows of heaven to bless us, the devil is going to open the doors of hell to blast us."
If the devil tempted Jesus, be sure he will tempt you, as well. Ask God to give you His strength to overcome temptation today.
Resist like Jesus! "Consider him who endured such opposition from sinful men, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart. In your struggle against sin, you have not yet resisted to the point of shedding your blood."Hebrews.12 :3-4. "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you."James 4:7.
Too weak and vulnerable at times? Then-Run away like Joseph! "One day he went into the house to attend to his duties, and none of the household servants was inside. She caught him by his cloak and said, "Come to bed with me!" But he left his cloak in her hand and ran out of the house." Genesis.39:11-12.
Reward shall be yours! "Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him".James.1:12.
Psalm 136 magnifies the mercy of God. Every verse ends with the refrain, "For His mercy endures forever." I would like to have heard this psalm sung in the Jewish temple. One group of priests would say, "Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good!" (v. 1). Then the priests on the other side of the court would answer, "For His mercy endures forever." Grace and mercy go together.
God, in His grace and mercy, gives me what I don't deserve, His mercy endures forever, and our response should be thanksgiving and praise. Praise the Lord for His wonders. "To Him who alone does great wonders, for His mercy endures forever"v. 4. "His name will be called Wonderful" (Isa. 9:6). Jesus Christ said and did wonderful things. When God touches a life, it becomes filled with wonder. I think of Peter,Andrew, James and John--men who would have remained ordinary fishermen had they not met Jesus. They went to a wedding at Cana, and wonders happened. They went to funerals, and wonders happened.
Praise God for His wisdom.
"To Him who by wisdom made the
heavens" v. 5. The God who created the universe has the wisdom to run it,
and He has the wisdom you need for your life. "If any of you lacks wisdom,
let him ask of God" (James 1:5).
He'll guide you. Praise Him
for His works. "To Him who laid out the earth above the waters"v. 6. Let's
worship God today because of His wonders. Let's seek His guidance because
of His wisdom. Let's enjoy all that He gives to us through His manifold
creation.
You would not be saved were it not for God's grace and mercy. Never take those two gifts for granted. Do you devote time to praising and thanking Him for what He does in your life?

"Hatred stirreth up strifes: but love covereth all sins." Proverbs 10:12. There are people in every family, fellowship, church or committee who take joy in finding something bad about somebody else. When they hear something ugly, they take great delight in exposing it.
Love does not rejoice in iniquity. Love wishes that it never happened. Love tries to cover it up. That doesn't mean we condone sin, we just cover it. Noah had three sons, Ham, Shem, and Japheth. Ham came and saw his father's nakedness and was quick to tell others. Shem and Japheth covered their father to help him cover his shame – not to condone what he had done, but to cover it. Wouldn't the world be a lot better place if we had that spirit?
Genesis.9:20-27.:
"And Noah began to be a farmer,
and he planted a vineyard. Then he drank of the wine and was drunk, and
became uncovered in his tent.
And Ham, the father of Canaan,
saw the nakedness of his father, and told his two brothers outside. But
Shem and Japheth took a garment, laid it on both their shoulders, and went
backward and covered the nakedness of their father. Their faces were turned
away, and they did not see their father's nakedness. So Noah awoke from
his wine, and knew what his younger son had done to him. Then he said:
" Cursed
be Canaan; A servant of servants
He shall be to his brethren." And he said:
" Blessed be the LORD, The God of Shem,
And may Canaan be his servant. May God enlarge
Japheth,
And may he dwell in the tents of Shem;
And may Canaan be his servant."
Write down the names of-
1) someone who has hurt you
recently,
2) someone who takes advantage
of you, torments you,or even blackmails you.
3) someone who has done something
wrong, but no one else knows about it except you.
Now, lift that person up in
prayer for God to forgive him or her.
"And the LORD restored Job's losses when he prayed for his friends. Indeed the LORD gave Job twice as much as he had before."Job.42 :10.
Ask God to give you an opportunity
to glorify His name by showing this person His love. Romans.5:5. Read 1
Corinthians 13:
"Love is patient, love is kind...it
is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily
angered, it keeps no record of wrongs".
Vs.4-5.. Cover that person in
God's love!
"I have chosen thee in the furnace of affliction".Isaiah 48:10.
God's choice makes chosen men choice men. Better to be the elect of God than the elect of a whole nation. We are chosen as an-afflicted people and not as an affluent people; Chosen not in the palace but in the furnace. In the furnace, beauty is marred, fashion is destroyed, strength is melted, glory is consumed, and yet here eternal love reveals its secrets and declares its choice.
So has it been in our case. In times of severest trial God has made to us our calling and we have made it sure: then have we chosen the Lord to be our God, and He has shown that we are assuredly His chosen. Therefore, if today the furnace be heated seven times hotter, we will not dread it, for the glorious Son of God will walk with us amid the glowing coals. Know this that the sadness and the difficulties that you may be in cannot be permanent because of the mercy and might of God. All difficulties are subject to change in due time because you possess persistent faith, authored by Him. There is no power so great that can keep you, inside the fiery furnace permanently.
Therefore, rest securely in Him because He is your shield. Nothing however evil can penetrate this great shield to destroy you.
2 Samuel 22:3-7
The God of my rock; in Him will
I trust: He is my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower,
and my refuge, my saviour; thou savest me from violence. I will call on
the LORD, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies.
When the waves of death compassed me, the floods of ungodly men made me
afraid; The sorrows of hell compassed me about; the snares of death prevented
me; In my distress I called upon the LORD, and cried to my God: and He
did hear my voice out of His temple, and my cry did enter into His ears.

Deuteronomy 33:12
"..Let the beloved of the LORD
rest secure in Him, for He shields Him all day long, and the one the LORD
loves rests between His shoulders".

For God hath not given us the
spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.? 2 Timothy
1:7.
If you want victory, you must expose the place of your doubts and fears. Many of us are not willing to do that. The devil has intimidated so many of us that we hide our eyes from the Sonshine of God?s Light. There is really nothing to be afraid of when it comes to the devil.
Do you know what fear is? It is False Evidence,Appearing Real. You can be fooled by false evidence. Take a bank robber with his hand in his coat pocket pretending it is a gun. His power comes from the power of deception. His power is the power of fear! Victory?s arrows cannot be shot through closed windows.
Is there any area of your life that you have been unwilling to open the window on? Humbly turn your face to His Light and give your fears to God. Put your name in the following verses in the places of me, my and I and read and believe!
The LORD is my light and my salvation;
Whom shall I fear?
The LORD is the strength of my life;
Of whom shall I be afraid?
When the wicked came against
me
To eat up my flesh,
My enemies and foes,
They stumbled and fell.
Though an army may encamp against
me,
My heart shall not fear;
Though war may rise against me,
In this I will be confident. Psalm.27:1-3.

Have you ever faced the problems
of dullness,darkness and dryness?
Certain days come to us that are simply dull. There may be sameness and tameness about them. And sometimes we have to go through periods of darkness, and we wonder what in the world God is doing. Or we experience dryness--we are so spiritually dry, hungry and thirsty. Read Psalm 119:129-136 for answers.
What is the answer to dullness? The Word of God."Your testimonies are wonderful; therefore my soul keeps them" (v. 129). Life cannot be dull when we read and obey the Bible. It has a way of taking the ordinary things of life and making them wonderful. When our minds and hearts are filled with Scripture, everything we see appears different.
What is the answer to darkness? "The entrance of Your words gives light; it gives understanding to the simple" (v. 130). Entrance means the opening up, the expounding, the unfolding of God's Word.As Scripture is explained to us, it illuminates us. If you find yourself in darkness today, read your Bible, and it will give you light.
What is the answer to dryness? Sometimes we feel so dry and needy. "I opened my mouth and panted, for I longed for Your commandments" (v. 131). The Word of God is like fresh air when we feel smothered, like water when we are parched, like food when we are famished. If you are having a dull, dark or dry day, turn to the Word of God.
Its truths will brighten your soul, and its
promises will encourage you. God designed the Bible to meet your needs.
So when the discouraging days come, feed your mind and heart with the Word.
How do we reconcile God's promises for protection with the fact that so many evil things do happen in our lives?
Can we believe God for protection? Will
He protect us? He can and He will . This question comes up often,
and no wonder, since there are many promises in the Bible
about protection, including (especially
in the Old Testament) physical protection. We must be careful to interpret
Scripture with Scripture, and if we examine the record we find that God
did not by any means always protect His people from harm. He has absolute
power to keep us safe, both physically and spiritually, but His engineering
of the universe made room for man's freedom to choose--that is, freedom
to will to obey or to disobey Him. This is a deep mystery. Man's disobedience
brought evil into the world, and all of us are subject to it. God does
not cancel out its effects, even for His choicest servants (John the Baptist,
Stephen, those namemeless victims of Hebrews 11:35-37, for example). Nevertheless,
we have the promises. Romans 8:35-39 is one of my most reread passages.
I believe we can rest assured that we are invulnerable so long as God does
not give permission for us to be hurt. If He gives that permission, He
will not leave us alone. He goes with us through the valley, the deep water,
the furnace. He will never, absolutely never, leave us or forsake us.
"Yea, though I walk through the valley of
the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod
and Your staff, they comfort me."Psalm.23:4. And He will deliver us according
to His mercy, grace and promises,if we choose to obey Him from now on. Read
Psalms 20 and 91.

Do you remember what God wants you to remember? Are you grateful for what He remembers? "Remember His marvelous works which He has done,His wonders, and the judgments of His mouth....He has remembered His covenant forever, the word which He commanded, for a thousand generations" Psalm 105:5-15
We should remember God's words, His wonders and His works, but we often forget. How easy it wasfor the Israelites to forget what God had done for them. Each year they celebrated the Passover, and one reason for that celebration was to remind them that God had delivered them out of slavery in Egypt. Some things we ought to forget, such as "those things which are behind" (Phil. 3:13).
But the psalmist tells us to "remember His marvelous works" (v. 5). Are you remembering God's blessings? The next time you are tempted to criticize or get angry with God, just remember His marvelous works. God also remembers: "He has remembered His covenant forever" (v. 8). He deals with us on the basis of His covenant promises, not on the basis of the Law, and He has sealed that covenant with the blood of His Son.
Finally, don't forget that His promises never fail. Not one word of all of God's promises has failed. Even when we forget, He remembers . Even when we neglect God's Word, He remembers it. God keeps His promises. He is faithful and will never lie. " Nevertheless My lovingkindness I will not utterly take from him, Nor allow My faithfulness to fail. My covenant I will not break, Nor alter the word that has gone out of My lips."Psalm.89:33-34. Claim a promise from God's Word that especially encourages you today. As you remember that promise, remember also that God is ever faithful to keep His promises.
“ For as the rain comes down, and the snow
from heaven, And do not return there,
But water the earth, And make it bring
forth and bud,
That it
may give seed to the sower And bread
to the eater, So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth;
It shall not return to Me void,
But it shall
accomplish what I please, And it shall
prosper in the thing for which I sent it."isaiah.55:11-13. Satisfied?
Then, claim your Abba Father's promises that
He has given you !

What do you do when heaven is silent?
What do you do when you cry out to God and there is no answer, or at least you can't hear it? This happened to David. He kept crying out to God, "Do not keep silent, O God of my praise!" Psalm 109:1 David was being attacked by the wicked--a frequent occurrence in his life. David wanted to see the wicked judged because they were attacking the people of God, the ones from whom God's Word and His Son would come. Why is God silent at times? It may be because we aren't listening or we don't want to listen. Evangelist Billy Sunday used to say that a sinner can't find God for the same reason a criminal can't find a policeman--he's not looking. Sin makes us turn a deaf ear to God. When Adam and Eve heard the voice of God in the Garden of Eden, they ran and hid. Children often do that when they disobey.
Sometimes God is silent because we aren't ready for the message. He wants to talk to us about something, but we aren't ready. We have to go through refining trials to make us ready to listen. God is sometimes silent because He knows we aren't willing to obey. He is always ready to show us His will, but He shows His will only to those who really want to do it. Jesus said in John 7:17, "If anyone wants to do His will, he shall know concerning the doctrine." Obedient people always hear the voice of God. Finally, sometimes God is silent that He might test us--to teach us the importance of silence, the importance of waiting on Him. Waiting helps remind us of God's sovereignty. The silence of God is one of the difficult tests of faith. What should you do when He is silent? Remember His faithfulness and past blessings. Live today on what He has already told you. Trust Him and wait. You will hear the voice of God again.

There are several reasons why we might grow weary or even sick of our own prayers.
One great reason, for some, is the struggle to labour on in unanswered prayer. It is hard to pray with intensity and consistency when the hand of God seems, to us, unmovable. My hope is that you, who are tired of praying, this or that prayer will continue to implore the hearer of prayer with fervency, reverence and confidence.
Fervency because all followers of Christ need to cry to God. We are in continual need of the care, protection and provision of the Lord. The more grace is felt in our hearts, the more the sense of want for more heavenly supplies will be felt. James 5:16, "The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much."
Fear: Because of the reverence and respect who owe such a glorious Saviour. Psalm 2:11, "Serve the Lord with fear, and rejoice with trembling." While we are fond of speaking of the mercy of God, we must never forget that He is also a majestic God. "God is greatly to be feared in the assembly of the saints, and to be held in reverence of all that are about him.", Psalm 89:7
Faith: Because He certainly hears us. We rely upon His goodness and power to meet all our needs. He is so gracious to us in Christ that He will do what is best for His glory and our good. And if something is not glorifying to God or for our good, we should not seek it. Eph. 3:12, "In whom we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of him."
It may often be true that the prayers that please us least, please God most . But one thing every wise follower of God knows: pray they must. When we pray we enter heaven's gates and we fellowship with the Lord of the world. This is no small thing, and it is a great privilege. May the Lord make you a prayer warrior!
"If you can't pray a door open, don't pry it open." Lyell Rader

There are people in every fellowship who take joy in finding something bad about somebody else.

"He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust. Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence." (Psalm 91:1-3)
Is it possible to live free from fear in this dangerous and unpredictable world? Yes, it most definitely is ! Because protection is a solid promise of God.
But it's not a promise that's offered to just anyone; it is promised to those who abide in the Lord. To abide means to dwell, to remain and to continue. To abide in the shadow of the Almighty is to live in continual union with Him, keeping His Word and obeying His voice. Those who abide in the Lord can live without dread of what the devil or his human agents will do. God's promise of protection doesn't guarantee that the devil will leave you alone! It means that God will give you a way of escape every time the devil rears his ugly face at you.
If you are afraid of the dangers around you, spend more time in the Word and in prayer until your trust in God overcomes your fear. Draw closer to the Lord until you are abiding in the shadow of the Almighty and--no matter how dangerous this world becomes--He surely shall deliver you! Will He deliver you?Has He promised your deliverance? If you are not sure,keep His following promise in your heart,mind,memory,inbox,pocket etc;
" But I will deliver you in that day,” says the LORD, “and you shall not be given into the hand of the men of whom you are afraid. For I will surely deliver you , and you shall not fall by the sword; but your life shall be as a prize to you , because you have put your trust in Me ,” says the LORD.’” The One who gives that promise to you is faithful and powerful. Read the whole:Psalm 91.

Have you ever seen the sea flee?
Have you ever seen the mountains skip like
rams or the hills run like lambs? That's the vivid description the psalmist
gives of the Exodus of Israel from Egypt.
"The sea saw it and fled; Jordan
turned back. The mountains skipped like rams, the little hills like lambs....
Tremble, O earth, at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the God
of Jacob, who turned the rock into a pool of water, the flint into a fountain
of waters" Psalm 114:1-8
The psalmist mentions the time God opened the Red Sea and the Israelites walked across on dry land. He talks about when the nation entered the Promised Land over the dry bed of the Jordan River. Then he refers to their experience in the wilderness, when they were thirsty and God turned the rock into a pool of water.
What are we to learn from all of these experiences? God helps us in the obstacles of life. When you turn your obstacles over to the Lord, He acts. What will He do?
Sometimes He overcomes the obstacles. God is with us in the hopeless places. How hopeless the Israelites were at the Red Sea! The enemy soldiers were behind them; the wilderness was around them; the sea was in front of them. But God opened a way to escape. Sometimes God removes the obstacles--the "hills" and the "mountains." He just makes them skip and run away like animals. Sometimes He makes the mountains a way for us to escape.
Isaiah 49:11."I will make each of My mountains
a road, And My highways shall be elevated".
Sometimes He also can turn the obstacles into blessings. He "turned the rock into a pool of water, the flint into a fountain of waters" (v. 8). If God doesn't overcome or remove your obstacle, let Him turn it into a blessing. Trust God with your obstacles. He can help you in-the hopeless places, the high places and the hard places.

“For His anger endureth but a moment; in His favor is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.” Psalm 30:5
God allows us to have “blue” seasons where there is more weeping than laughing. What we must remember is that they are only for a season. That is crucial. Joy will come in the morning, just as sure as the sunrise. If you get up tomorrow morning to see the sunrise, let me tell you what not to do. Don’t try to make it hurry up. You can’t do it. You can get a brass band and cheerleaders, but that sun is not going to come up one second sooner than God intends.
Waiting on the Lord is like waiting on the sun to come up. You can’t hurry it. You also can’t stop it. God is going to bring a sunrise to your soul . Just wait for it. And trust Him while you wait. Are you in a waiting period...praying days, weeks, months, even years, for something and God hasn’t answered?
Read Psalm 46:10-11. Be still and know that in the fullness of time, your request will be answered so positively. Amen!.Say Amen!

Let's take time for a spiritual inventory and ask three simple questions:
-What do you hate? -Where are you hiding? -In what do you hope?
The best answers to those questions are found
in Psalm 119:113,114.
"I hate the double-minded, but I love Your
law. You are my hiding place and my shield; I hope in Your word."
What do you hate?
The psalmist hated vain thoughts (Ps. 119:37). Vanity means that which
is empty, false and temporary. Thoughts are important, because what you
think is what you become. "As he thinks in his heart, so is he" (Prov.
23:7). Thinking leads to doing, and doing leads to being.
Sow a thought and you reap an action. Sow
an action and you reap a habit. Sow a habit and you reap a character. Sow
a character and you reap a destiny. If we love God's Law, we will hate
the things that are contrary to His will.
Where are you hiding? "You are my hiding place and my shield." Are you hiding in the Lord? Is He your Shield? Christians have enemies who want to rob us of the blessing of God. Maybe you are hurting today. Run and hide in Jesus Christ.
In what do you hope? "I
hope in Your word." If your hope is anywhere other than in God, your future
is hopeless. But if you are hoping in the Word of God, the future is secure,
because God is preparing the way for you. What a glory it is to be able
to hope in the Word of God.
Praise God afresh for His Word, for the gift
of his Bible!
Spiritual inventories force you to see if you are aligning with God's will and Word. Today, ponder the three questions found in these verses. Stay aligned to God's Word.

"For the vision is yet for an appointed time,
but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it
tarry, wait for it; because it will surely
come, it will not tarry". Habakkuk 2:3
Mercy may seem slow, but it is sure. The Lord
in unfailing wisdom has appointed a time for the outgoing of His gracious
power, and God's time is the best time.
We are in a hurry; the vision of the blessings
excites our desire and hastens our longings; but the Lord will keep His
appointments. He never is before His time; He never is behind. God's
word is here spoken of as a living thing which will speak and will come.
It is never a dead letter, as we are tempted to fear when we have long
watched for its fulfillment. The living word is on the way from the living
God, and though it may seem to linger, it is not in reality doing so. God's
train is not behind time. It is only a matter of patience, and we shall
soon see for ourselves the faithfulness of the Lord. No promise of His
shall fail; "it will not lie." No promise of His will be lost in silence;
"it shall speak." What comfort it will speak to the believing ear! No promise
of His shall need to be renewed like a bill which could not be paid on
the day in which it fell due-"it will not tarry."Can you not wait
for your Father God? Rest in Him and be still in unutterable peacefulness.
Hebrews 10:36 "For you have need of endurance(patience),
so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise"

Find time to spend in quietness before God.
There are several reasons for this:
One reason is simply because-
God commands it. Psa 46:10 "Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth." In order to worship Him as we should -- in Spirit and truth -- we must be still. If we don't allow our minds to be stilled, there won't be room in them for Him. Another reason to make time for stillness, for meditation on His word, is that- It convicts us. If we read and run, read and run, and don't let it "soak in," sometimes we don't retain it. Psa 119:11 I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you.
We need to think about what we are reading....maybe
reread it, perhaps read a cross-reference or two, to help cement it in
our minds. Then the Word will be in the reservoirs of our minds. Sometimes
when we might not even realize we have retained something, we "pull it
up" out of our memory banks, during an everyday decision, etc. Another
incentive for being still before Him, is that- It calms us. It can strengthen
us, calm us, give us peace... "In repentance and rest is your salvation,
in quietness and trust is your strength, but you would have none of it.
However, this "quietness," and listening doesn't come naturally; at least
it does not to me. If that's the case for you, ask God to help you do it!
Just ask Him to help you be still and listen. I hope you'll join me in
finding time to be still before Him each day, whether it is for five minutes
or 30, whether you mediate on one verse or a chapter. Even if it means
awakening a few minutes earlier, it's worth it. After all, think about
it...what's 5-30 minutes out of a 1440-minute day? If you have a long commute,
you could take the Bible and read it at stoplights, and meditate on it
and "listen" the rest of the way....Or you can read for a few minutes before
showering, and meditate in there. Where there is a will, there is a way.
You CAN make time for being still before Him; you can't afford not to.
If no word seems to be forthcoming, remember "it is good to wait quietly
for the salvation of the Lord," and "when He gives quietness, who then
can make trouble?". Lamentations 3:26; Job 34:29.

"Rejoice and exult in hope; be steadfast and patient in suffering and tribulation; be constant in prayer."Romans 12:12.
We're to live in hope. We're to rejoice. So, when Satan comes to steal your victory and tell you that God is not going to help you this time, you just think on the Word of God and start rejoicing. Rejoice that you're in Him. Rejoice that heaven is your home. Rejoice that greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world. Rejoice. Praise God now. The devil can't stand it! "Be steadfast and patient in suffering and tribulation...." Tribulation means "being under pressure." When pressure comes, don't cave in. Don't faint. Instead, go to the throne of grace. Go boldly in the Name of Jesus and get the help you need.Remember this: When things get hard isn't when you let go of the Word. That's when you double up on it. That's when you are "constant in prayer" so that you are unmovable. Rejoice. Be patient under pressure. Be constant in prayer. The devil won't be able to steal one thing from you! Read Romans 5:1-5

When we leave on a travel, trip or a vacation, we often read Psalm 121,pray and then travel.
We became accustomed to hearing the words,
"I will lift up my eyes to the hills--from whence comes my help? My help
comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth" (Vs. 1,2). God is our Helper.
You don't have to go on a vacation or drive on a busy highway to know that.
Where does your help come from? The psalmist lifted his eyes to the hills.
The most stable, secure thing the Jews knew were the mountains around Jerusalem.
Then the psalmist lifted hiseyes higher and said, "No, I don't get my help
from the hills. I get my help from the heavens". God is our Helper. " Whatever
your need or task is today, your help will come from the Lord, the Creator
of the heavens and the earth. A God big enough to make this world and keep
it going is big enough to help you with your problems today. God is also
our Keeper.
"He will not allow your foot to be moved;
He who keeps you will not slumber. Behold, He who keeps Israel shall neither
slumber nor sleep" (Vs. 3,4).
This is a dangerous world we live in. Enemies would like to attack and destroy us. But as we walk in the will of God and depend on His power, He is there as our Keeper and Preserver. "The Lord shall preserve you from all evil" (v. 7). This verse doesn't say we won't have pain. It doesn't say we will never suffer or sorrow. Though we may be hurt, we won't be harmed. "He shall preserve your soul. The Lord shall preserve your going out and your coming in from this time forth, and even forevermore" (Vs. 7,8). God is your Helper and Keeper. No matter where your path in life leads, if you walk in His will,He will preserve you. Walk with confidence today. You have a Helper, a Keeper and a kind Preserver, who will see you through in your present situation.

"If ye shall ask anything in my name , I will do it". John 14:14
What a wide promise! Anything! Whether large or small, all my needs are covered by that word anything. Come, my soul, be free at the mercy seat, and hear thy Lord saying to thee, "Open thy mouth wide, and I will fill it." What a wise promise! We are always to ask in the name of Jesus. While this encourages us, it also honors Him. This is a constant plea. Occasionally every other plea is darkened, especially such as we could draw from our own relation to God or our experience of His grace; but at such times the name of Jesus is as mighty at the throne as ever, and we may plead it with full assurance.
What a wonderful promise! I may not ask
for anything to which I cannot put Christ's hand and seal. I dare not use
my Lord's name to a selfish or willful petition. I may only use my Lord's
name to prayers which He would Himself pray if He were in my case. It is
a high privilege to be authorized to ask in the name of Jesus as if Jesus
Himself asked; but our love to Him will never allow us to set that name
where He would not have set it. Am I asking for that which Jesus approves?
Dare I put His seal to my prayer? Then I have that which I seek of the
Father. "And whatever you ask in My name , that I will do, that the Father
may be glorified in the Son .If you ask anything in My name, I will do
it." John.14:13,14

“Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.” Psalm 37:3
This word “trust” is an interesting word. Its root is from the word that means “to lie face down on the ground.” The idea is that a person is totally helpless. He has been cast down and has nothing to stand upon. Some would say his pins have gone out from underneath him. He has no visible means of support. That is the place where God wants to bring us – where we have no physical means of support and all we have is God. As a matter of fact, did you know that God will sometimes knock your feet out from beneath you so that you might learn to trust Him? At that point, faith is no longer an option or a luxury; it is a necessity. To the world your situation looks hopeless, but that is right where God wants to show Himself powerful in your life. Do you feel like you are in a hopeless situation today? Toss a coin in the air. As you will notice, it will either fall heads or tails. In the same way, fear and trust are opposite sides of the same coin. When you toss your situation around in your mind, you can either choose to fear what is going to happen, or you can trust that God will take care of you.
You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose
mind is stayed on You, Because he trusts in You. Trust in the LORD
forever, For in YAH, the LORD, is everlasting strength.Isaiah.26:3-4.
Not only peace but directions and deliverance also- for the glory of God.
Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding;
In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your
paths. Proverbs.3:5-6. Some trust in chariots, and some in horses;
But we will remember the name of the LORD our God. They have bowed down
and fallen; But we have risen and stand upright.Save, LORD! May the
King answer us when we calll.Psalm.20:7-9.

"The Lord is my strength and song, and He has become my salvation" Psalm 118:14.
This also is found in Exodus 15:2 and Isaiah 12:2. The Israelites sang these words when they were delivered from Egypt, as they saw their enemy drowned in the sea. And Isaiah 12 promises that Israel will sing this song in the future when God restores her and establishes His kingdom. We, too, can rejoice for what these words mean for us today.
God is our Strength. That takes care of the demands of life. Where do you look to find strength? Your experience? Your health? Your money? Your job? All these things could vanish.Only the strength of the Lord can meet the demands of life. "Those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength" (Is. 40:31).
God is our Song. That takes care of the dullness of life. Many people have to go through boring, tedious experiences. Perhaps your job is not as exciting as you'd like it to be. Perhaps you are a shut-in, and you can't get out and do and see what others have the privilege of doing and seeing. The Lord will give you joy.
God is our Salvation. That takes care of the dangers of life. He delivers us and is always at our side. "The right hand of the Lord is exalted; the right hand of the Lord does valiantly" (v. 16). That right hand is available to us today.
Believers may sing this song
of praise, for God takes care of the demands, the dullness and the dangers
of life. He is your Strength, your Song and your Salvation. Remember that
God is ever available to deliver you from the difficult experiences of
life.
